Cover image: Photograph and reconstruction of Linheraptor exquisitus skull and mandible. L. exquisitus is a dromaeosaurid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of western Nei Mongol, China. The holotype, the only known specimen, is one of the most beautifully preserved dromaeosaurid specimens recovered from the Upper Cretaceous worldwide. Comparison with other dromaeosaurids indicates that L. exquisitus possesses features that were previously identified as autapomorphies of various other dromaeosaurids and points to an unexpectedly complex distribution of derived osteological features amongst dromaeosaurids. Many of the newly recognized subtle morphological variations are potentially of great importance for fine-scale phylogenetic analyses. See details in the paper of Xu et al.
