摘要:The present article deals with an upper right canine and a third left lower incisor, the fossil teeth found in 1977 in situ in the limestone fissures of Xialin, at Liyang, Jiangsu. The upper canine is characterized by a serrated posterior edge and a non-serrated on posterior and plain anterior edge on its crown. Dimension of an element of the serration, 0.05 mm in average. The crown is pick-like and the root large, short, the upper C. is smaller than that of Homotherium tingi (Zdansky).The lower I is large and almost caniniform. We will call it Homotherium liyangensis, meaning the like sabre-toothed tiger, of liyang which is far recorded in southern China. The age is of Later Pliocene to Pleistocene.
