摘要：A new species of Amphicyon, Amphicyon youngi sp. nov., is described in the present paper. Its specimens occurring in associated with a primitive Macaca and some cervids, were collected form a stratum of grey white marl, probably lower Pliocene, in Zhongxiang, Huopei province.
　  The new species is characterized by the size slightly larger than A. tairunensis Colbert and by more advanced structure of cheek teeth; P₄ with a posterior-internal expansion; M₁ rather narrow, with paraconid taller, longer and stronger, metaconid seemingly robust, hypoconid lower and less trenchant; M₂without paraconid and its talonid short; M₃ reduced. Judging from the above characters, the new species, Amphicyon youngi sp. nov., probably represented an advanced form of Amphicyon.
