摘要：The Gigantopithecus Cave is located at the vertical cliff of limestone, about 90 m. above the Liujang River. There were the deposits about 2m. in thickness. The deposits in cave can be divided into six layers. Three mandibles and over one thousand tooth of Gigantopithecus were collected from them.
    The excavation was carried on from 1956 till 1963 years, under the superintendence of the senior worker, Mr. Cai Fengqi. He noted down lithologic structure of every layers and distribution of Gigantopithecus fossils. The paper was based upon his note to be regulated.
