摘要：A general review on Chinese paleoanthropological studies in the past 30 years is presented here in the following separate sections:
    1.  Fossil pongids and early hominids,
    2.  Human fossils and artifacts in Early Paleolithic Period,
    3.  Human fossils and artifacts in Middle. Paleolithic Period,
    4.  Human fossils and artifacts in Late Paleolithic Period.
    The achievements and development of the research on paleoanthropology in new China are also given as contrasted with those in old China.
