摘要:In the March 1962, three pieces of Oil-bearing shales have been collected by the Geological Party of Southern Huang-Ho.
At first, it was thought that our form may belong to Perdex hodsoni Collin, but it is too large for our specimens, although, there are many similarities between them.
Finally, I got the help from Dr. Tso-hsing Cheng and have made comparison with Passer montanus saturates Stejenger. These specimens are much similar to the part of the wings.
As to the geology, the problem is not much easier than the determination of the form. First of all, both in the Quaternary and Pliocene as well as Miocene and Paleocene there is no or little hope to think that we have to deal with the presence of so hard Oil-bearing shales.
Furthermore, it is not less probable that we have them to deal even with Cretaceous age. All in all, a satisfactory solution of the determination both the systematic one and the stratigraphic one is not possible at present, unless further date are available.
Finally, it is interesting to note that the finding in 1968 of the third feather described by Waldmen in 1970. The previous two feathers (Emm. 66(2) 1966) and our specimens were made much earlier in 1962, that is to say 4 years in advance of the Australian finds.
