Head of the Earth Science Department

Natural History Museum of Geneva, Switzerland

Lionel’s research deals with the evolutionary history of bony fishes (Actinopterygii, Actinistia and Dipnoi) from the Mesozoic. His is especially interested by fish assemblages from Europe, North Africa, Middle East and South-eastern Asia. He has published about 110 papers about anatomy, phylogeny, biogeography, diversity dynamics of bony fishes.
